There are no post-Hurricane Sandy polling place changes in the Town of Huntington in Tuesday's election, with the exception of Asharoken.

Asharoken polling has been relocated to the Eaton's Neck Fire House because of flooding at village hall. A total of nine polling places were changed throughout Suffolk County.

The Suffolk County Board of Elections has been working with the State Board of Elections, the Governor’s office and local municipalities to assess accessibility of all polling places, according to a statement.

The absentee ballot program was uninterrupted and extended until Monday, Nov. 5, ending at 7 p.m. The Board of Elections is no longer able to mail absentee ballots. If you need an absentee ballot you or your agent must appear in person at the Suffolk Board of Elections.
