Northport Anti-Bullying Community Group Hosts Outdoor Gathering

NORTHPORT, NY —This Saturday, the Northport chapter or national anti-bullying group Not In Our Town (NIOT) will host an outdoor gathering in honor of Anti-Bullying Month. The event, dubbed NIOT In The Park will take place across from Copenhagen bakery from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

NIOT's slogan is "stop hate, together" and the group's website explains the organization's mission as "a movement to stop hate, address bullying, and build safe, inclusive communities for all" by working with schools, local police forces and community leaders.

The family-friendly gathering will feature crafts, items for sale and early voting information.

"This family-friendly event will be a unique opportunity to meet fellow NIOT Northport members in person, learn more about this local anti-hate and anti-bullying movement, and come together as a community," the event flyer reads.
