Northport Boys Track And Field Wins Team Title At State Champs
Star runner Elijah Claiborne led the way in team points after winning states in two individual races and one relay event.
The Northport High School track and field team was crowned New York State Track and Field Champions over the weekend.
The boys 4x800m relay team, consisting of Elijah Claiborne, Dan O’Connor, Thomas Fodor and Sean Ryan, paced first in the state. Claiborne also took home two more state titles in the 800 and 1600m runs.
These outstanding wins contributed to the boys track team placing first overall in New York State with 28 points.

In addition to this tremendous success, Sydney Rohme, a member of the girls track and field team, placed sixth in New York State in the pentathlon.
