Northport Fish & Lobster Catches Fire
The seafood market's attic sustained damage after the flames started there.

NORTHPORT, NY — Northport Fish & Lobster caught fire late Monday, prompting a response by the Northport Fire Department, the department announced on Facebook.
Firefighters were called to the seafood market, at 827 Fort Salonga Road, around 11:50 p.m. Monday after a small fire broke out in the attic. No one was injured, and the attic sustained minor damage, the fire department told Patch.
Crews from Northport Engine 293 and Engine 296 stretched a hand line to the attic and extinguished the fire. Tower Ladder 297's crew preformed searches, ventilation and secured all utilities.
