Northport Police Blotter: Deer Killed In Car Crash
ALSO: A second deer was also found dead; firefighters douse fire at bakery; skunk reported, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Aug. 26 through Sept. 1.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- A deer was found dead on Waterside Avenue on Aug. 27. An officer moved the carcass to the side of the road and notified the highway department to remove it.
- A wire was pulled down on Fransal Court by a truck trying to back up on Aug. 28. Verizon was called to fix the wire.
- A vehicle fatally struck a deer on Eatons Neck Road on Aug. 29. The highway department was notified to remove it.
- Someone was using heavy construction equipment on Bluff Point Road around 7:35 a.m. The person was unaware of the village noise ordinance and agreed to stop all work until 8 a.m.
- A skunk was reported on Hawkins Drive on Aug. 30.
- Broken bottles and vomit were found at a park on Cherry Street on Aug. 31. An officer disposed of the bottles and debris. The highway department was notified to wash down the cement base of the park bench.
- The Northport Fire Department doused a small grease fire in the kitchen of Copenhagen Bakery on Woodbine Avenue on Sept. 1.
