Northport Police Report: Speeding; Stealing from a Pizza Delivery Guy
Incidents and arrests, Feb. 24-28.

The following was taken from the Northport Police crime blotter. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until, and if, proven guilty in court of law.
- Police responded to Burt Ave. for an unknown problem on Feb. 23 around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, the complainant, a Domino's Pizza delivery person, stated that he was delivering an order to xxx Burt Avenue. When he stopped his vehicle and began to get out, three subjects reportedly opened his passenger door and removed an empty delivery bag and ran off. Several subjects were located down the street and were interviewed regarding the occurrence. While the complainant did not wish to pursue the matter, all subjects were warned and admonished on their behavior. The driver's delivery bag was recovered and returned to the place of business.
- Later that morning...someone on Burt Ave. said he found a jacket on his front lawn that may belong one of the subjects was who took the pizza bag out of the Domino's Pizza Delivery car. The jacket was vouchered as found property and placed in the temporary storage bin.
- Christopher Larkin, 30, of Northport, was arrested on Feb. 28 and charged with unreasonable speed, failure to comply with a lawful order, unlawfully fleeing police, and aggravated unlicensed operation. Police say Larkin was observed driving east bound on Fort Salonga Road and Laurel Avenue at a high rate of speed. police turned on their emergency lights and sirens while behind Larkin and estimated his speed at 60 MPH. Larkin reportedly slowed down at the intersection of Middleville Road, and went around a vehicle in front of him which pulled over, and then sped up again. Police say he failed to pull over after being pursued for approximately one mile. Larkin then pulled into his driveway and finally stopped the car. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the defendant's New York State license was suspended three times, two scoffs on two dates and failure to pay child support.
- Police responded to the incident location for the report of youths possibly making graffiti on Main Street. Upon the undersigned's arrival, it was determined the youths had used chalk. The youths agreed to and did clean off the chalk.
- Police responded Church Street to investigate the report of an unknown black adult female urinating on the sidewalk on Feb. 26 around 9:45 a.m. A police officer checked the area and said female was gone upon arrival. No further action at this time.
- Police responded to an anonymous report of logs blocking the road on Lewis Road around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 26. The officer observed numerous logs that appeared to have fallen off a truck laying in the road and moved them off to the side. An entry was made for the day tour to notify the highway department for removal.
