NYS Assembly District 12 Preview: Keith Brown Vs. Cooper Macco
Republican incumbent Keith Brown won the election in 2020. Cooper Macco is looking to take his seat this year.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Incumbent state assemblyman Keith Brown (R—Northport) will look to defend his NYS 12th Assembly District seat against Democrat Cooper Macco on Nov. 8.
The candidates:
- Keith Brown (Incumbent, Republican)
- Cooper Macco (Democrat)
Brown was elected in 2020 when he defeated Michael Marcantonio by getting 51.6 percent of the votes to Marcantonio's 48.4 percent.

The seat was previously held by Andrew Raia, a Republican who has since gone on to follow in his mother, Jo-Ann Raia's, footsteps and become Huntington town clerk.
Neither Brown nor Macco faced a primary challenge this year.

The 12th Assembly District covers Northport, East Northport, Centerport, Eaton's Neck, Asharoken and portions of Fort Salonga, Halesite, Greenlawn, Commack, Elwood, Dix Hills, Deer Park, and North Bay Shore.
