Police Ask Public's Help to ID Man Suspected of Hit and Run

Suffolk County Police believe they have found the man responsible in a hit and run crash that occurred at Stop & Shop on Fort Salonga Road in Northport Sept. 19.

Police said a man, who was seen on a store video camera, struck the driver's side of an unattended vehicle in the grocery store parking lot and fled the scene of the incident.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
