Police Log: Accidental Prescription Overdose, Loud Party Busted

Tuesday, Oct. 23

At 11:30 a.m., police responded to a Mar Kan Drive location for the report of a woman accidentally overdosing on prescription medication. Centerport Rescue responded to the scene and transported the woman to Huntington Hospital.

At 6:34 p.m., police received a report of criminal mischief in which someone damaged a ceramic pumpkin at The Jewelry Collection on Main Street.

At 10:30 p.m., a woman entered police headquarters on Main Street to report that her ex-boyfriend was following her. She said he followed her from her house to the downtown area and would not stop calling and texting her. He followed her into the police station parking lot, she said. Police contacted the man and warned him to leave her alone, which he agreed to do. The woman was advised to file for a restraining order in the morning.

At 10:33 p.m., a 21-year-old Northport woman was arrested for driving with a revoked license after she was pulled over for speeding on Fort Salonga Road. She was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation/refusal of chemical test.

Saturday, Oct. 27

At 11:09 p.m., police responded to the report of a loud party on Hawkins Drive. Authorities spoke with the resident, who agreed to turn down the music.
