Police Log: Alcohol Overdose On St. Patty's Day, DWI Arrest

Saturday, March 10
At 2:39 p.m., police received a report that a woman lost her gold wedding ring either in Stop & Shop or Giunta's Meat Farms on Fort Salonga Road. Both stores said no rings or jewelry were turned in.

At 12:13 p.m., police responded to a report of a woman with injuries from a fall on Ocean Avenue. She was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital.

At 10:54 a.m., a 30-year-old Elizabeth, PA woman was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Woodbine Avenue.
At 11:28 p.m., Yvonne Berger, 48, of Northport, was arrested for DWI and aggravated DWI after she was pulled over on Norwood Avenue in improper lane use, police say.

Friday, March 16
At 3:01 a.m., police responded to a report of a woman coughing up blood on Laurel Avenue. Northport Rescue transported her to Huntington Hospital.
At 7:19 a.m., police responded to Lisa Drive home for a person in cardiac arrest. The person was found unresponsive on the toilet with no pulse and no breathing detected. The person was moved to the floor and officers maintained chest compressions until Northport FD personnel responded. A paramedic began advanced life support care and the person was transported to Huntington Hospital via ambulance.
Saturday, March 17
At 7:13 p.m., police responded to a Woodbine Avenue location for the report of a man lying on the sidewalk. Police determined he was intoxicated. He was escorted home and released to the custody of his father.
At 9:30 p.m., police responded to a Laurel Avenue location for a person suffering from an alcohol overdose. They were transported to Huntington Hospital without incident.
