'So Deserving' Of Love Sheena: Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week
Sheena, nearly 2 years old, came to the shelter pregnant and alone. She is "such a kind and gentle soul."

NORTHPORT, NY — Sheena, a cat just under 2 years old, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Cat of the Week.
Sheena was found pregnant and alone by shelter volunteers, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the shelter.
"Thankfully, she had her babies in rescue; five kittens in total," Wild said. "She was the most fabulous momma to her kittens, and without hesitation, was also a surrogate to two newborn baby girls that came in as orphans. She loved them like her own and proved to be such a kind and gentle soul."

Sheena gets along with other calm cats or kittens and is currently at Petco Commack. She is definitely nervous in her habitat, Wild said, but she does love visitors, tender words and pets.
"Sheena has taken care of seven kittens and put their comforts before her own," Wild said. "Now it is time for us to make sure she is taken care of forever. Although she is no longer a kitten, she is so deserving and just needs love."
