Tennis Star From Northport Earns NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
The scholarship will be applied toward the graduate degree program of her choice.

A Northport resident was the recent recipient of a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for her academic, athletic and community contributions.
Former Emory University women’s tennis star Bridget Harding, a 2014 graduate of Northport High School, was awarded a $7,500 scholarship that will be applied toward the graduate degree program of her choice.

- Three-time All-American in both singles and doubles;
- Three-time member of the UAA All-Academic Team;
- Two-time UAA President’s Council Scholar Athlete;
- Named an Emory Class of 2018 100 Senior Honorary;
- Nominated for the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship;
- 3.81 grade-point average as a human health major.
The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship is awarded to student-athletes who excel in the classroom and in sports, and are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. A total of 174 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships are awarded annually, 87 for men and 87 for women.
Harding is the fifth women’s tennis player in school history to be awarded the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Emory University is second to only Stanford University for the highest total postgraduate scholarships by any NCAA member with 114 scholarships in the school's history.
