Tom Schaudel To Visit LI Distillery For Food Pairing, Book Signing

EAST NORTHPORT, NY — A food pairing and book signing with Long Island celebrity chef and author Tom Schaudel is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. April 15 at Twisted Cow Distillery in East Northport, the distillery announced.

The event is intended to appeal to foodies, spirit enthusiasts, Long Islanders, the hospitality industry, and anyone who appreciates comedic literature with a local twist.

"A Second Helping: Whining and Dining on Long Island" is the sequel to Schaudel’s "Playing with Fire: Whining and Dining on Long Island." The stories feature humorous episodes of the experiences and escapades associated with serving Long Island customers from inside and outside the kitchens of his prestigious restaurants.

"Tom Schaudel is truly one of Long Island’s treasures, and Twisted Cow Distillery is extremely
grateful for his collaboration," owner John Pawluk said in a news release. "Tom’s dedication to supporting local businesses has served as a beacon for many, and his humor, creativity and reputation in the culinary world is bar none."

The event is $50 per person with limited seating, and reservations are required. Each reservation
includes Tom Schaudel’s book, "A Second Helping: Whining and Dining on Long Island," his
reading and book signing, a food pairing with Twisted Cow’s handcrafted spirits, and a
complimentary Twisted Cow Signature cocktail.

Twisted Cow Distillery is at 13 Hewitt Square, East Northport.

The distillery manufactures small batches of handcrafted liquor in its "Spirit Lab" next to the tasting room. The distillery is open Tuesday through Sunday and expanding hours, events, and offerings as it grows.

"We are not afraid of flavor, and we inherently keep flavor in our spirits," Pawluk previously told Patch.

Currently, Twisted Cow Distillery offers events, live music, tastings, and tours by appointment.
