Local Officials Join in Great American Smoke Out Event at Palisades Mall

Senator David Carlucci, Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee and Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski joined in a 38th anniversary celebration of the Great American Smoke Out Thursday at Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack.

Also participating were members of the Hudson Valley Tobacco Control Partners, which includes Reality Check Putnam, Orange and Rockland, POW'R Against Tobacco, Orange County and Rockland County, The Rockland County Health Department and American Cancer Society also cooperated to celebrate the celebration of the annual event held the third Thursday in November to encourage smokers to either quit that day or make a plan to quit.
