Bookstore Opens In Ossining's Historic Opera House (Without Heat)

"The response from the community has been tremendous," owner Amy Hall told Patch.

OSSINING, NY — Hudson Valley Books for Humanity has opened in the historic Olive Opera House in the heart of the village of Ossining.

"We are still a work in process — and will be for a few more weeks to come," owner Amy Hall told Patch. "The response from the community has been tremendous. So much excitement! The only downside is that we don't (yet) have any heat, though Con Ed is working on it. Hoping to have this resolved this coming week."

The opening was Friday.
