Fire At Bari Manor Apartments Displaced 15 Residents In Croton-on-Hudson
The American Red Cross Greater New York is providing support and shelter to those who were displaced by the fire.

The Village is relieved to report that no injuries occurred as a result of the fire earlier today at Bari Manor Apartments. We want to extend our sincere thanks to the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, Croton-on-Hudson EMS, and all first responders for their swift and professional response. Their quick actions were crucial in ensuring everyone's safety and preventing further damage.
The fire has temporarily rendered six units uninhabitable and displaced 15 residents. We're grateful for the immediate assistance from the American Red Cross in Greater New York, who are providing vital support and shelter to our displaced neighbors. Con Edison will be restoring power to other apartments after an electrician has determined that it is safe to re-energize.

Around 12:15 PM on Saturday, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was dispatched to Albany Post Road in the Montrose Fire District for a fire in an industrial plant. Cars 2081, 2082, 2083, Engine 119 & Utility 14 with 10 members answered this call.
Upon arrival, a 2nd Alarm was transmitted, and our members were assigned to the fire attack sector. Members operated two hose lines attacking fire and provided personnel as a RIT until the next due team from Yorktown arrived.
The fire involved concrete manufacturing machinery, adjacent structures and storage containers as well as numerous hazardous materials. Multiple hose lines, elevated master streams and foam were used to finally extinguish the blaze.
Due to the products involved in this fire, all personnel on scene and operating required to be decontaminated. Members & equipment were washed down by members of the Montrose VAFD, County and Squad 6 Hazardous Materials Teams. Additional cleanup was done back
at the firehouse afterwards and on Sunday morning as well.
CFD members operated for about five hours in total. Despite the large amount of fire, no injuries to firefighters or civilians was reported.
On scene were Montrose, Croton, Buchanan, Verplanck, Peekskill, Yorktown, Millwood, Briarcliff, Montrose VA, Fairview, Greenburgh & Hartsdale firefighters as well as the County Haz-Mat Team, Cortlandt & Peekskill Ambulances, Cortlandt Paramedics and State &
MTA Police units.
While we operated at this incident, standby crews were in Croton with E120, T10 & R18.
