Ossining Man Dies In Manhattan Crash

The 3-car collision happened Tuesday during rush hour.

NEW YORK CITY — Police have identified the man who died in a three-car crash in Manhattan Tuesday as Ossining resident Kevin Jenkins.

A 911 call came into the NYPD at 5:05 p.m. about a collision on the northbound FDR Drive at 53rd Street, near Exit 11.

Jenkins, 56, had been driving a 2021 Honda CRV. He was taken by emergency medical services to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The other two drivers were transported by EMS to area hospitals, in stable condition, with varied complaints of pain.

Police said according to their preliminary investigation the Honda had veered from one lane to another, striking first a 2017 Audi A6 and then a 2018 Volvo S90 before hitting the jersey barrier and coming to a stop.

The NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is continuing the investigation.
