Ossining Named “Best Community for Music Education” for 18th Time
National honor from NAMM Foundation highlights Ossining School District's long-standing commitment to music and performing arts education.

Ossining School District has once again been honored with the prestigious “Best Communities for Music Education” designation from the NAMM Foundation, marking the 18th time the district has received this national recognition.
The award celebrates school districts across the United States for their outstanding commitment to music education. In Ossining, that commitment shines through in the district’s vibrant and diverse music and performing arts programs offered at all grade levels.
Kate Mathews, Director of Cultural Arts for the Ossining School District, praised Ossining’s Music and Performing Arts teachers for this achievement.

“This prestigious national recognition is a testament to our music and performing arts teachers’ exceptional talent, dedication, and the outstanding music education they provide to our students every day,” said Ms. Mathews. “Their commitment to nurturing creativity, excellence, and a love of the performing arts truly enriches the lives of our students and our entire school community.
Ossining’s music program includes a wide range of opportunities for students, from instrumental ensembles and vocal groups to theater and performance events that showcase their talents throughout the year. This ongoing recognition by the NAMM Foundation reflects the district’s strong support of arts education and the enduring impact it has on students' academic and personal growth.
