Ossining Students Showcase Excellence at State Career Conference

Six OHS students earn medals in business and marketing at NYDECA, ​one of the state's most competitive events.

Several Ossining High School (OHS) students recently showcased their business acumen and marketing expertise at the New York DECA (NYDECA) State Career Conference, with six scholars earning medals across various competitive categories.

The event, held on March 6 in Rochester, New York, brought together top-performing high school students from across the state to compete in business-related challenges, including exams, presentations, and role-playing scenarios.

“Our students demonstrated their talent and determination on a highly competitive stage, proving that they are among the best in the state,” said OHS Principal LaToya Langley. “Their success at the NYDECA State Career Conference reflects their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and excel under pressure—skills that will serve them well in their future careers.”

DECA is a national organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. The NYDECA State Career Conference is one of the most competitive events of the year and provides students with invaluable real-world experience and networking opportunities.
