'Snow Drought' To Continue: Hudson Valley Forecast
"There's no cold air available," say the folks at Hudson Valley Weather.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Stormy weather is ahead for the Hudson Valley, but don't think about the white stuff — that remains reserved for upstate as temperatures continue abnormally mild.
"Two more storms are likely to unload snow over the interior Northeast through the middle of next week and deliver rain once more to the areas of the Interstate 95 corridor that are stuck in a snow drought," said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
In an average year, the mid-Hudson region would have had about 20 inches of snow by now, said Bill Potter at Hudson Valley Weather.

Temperatures will stay mild at first after the storms, which in the past with normal temps below freezing would have been snow events, Potter said. "Maybe the jet stream is starting to do things we want it to do, but there's no cold air available."
Here's the five-day forecast from the National Weather Service, based on Rockland County:
