Barricade Situation In Oyster Bay: Police

The situation on West Main Street unfolded around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Update: Josh Lafazan, Nassau County Legislator for District 18, said via Twitter that the situation in Oyster Bay is over and the suspect has been apprehended.

A Nassau Police spokeswoman said the situation was resolved at 8:13 p.m. Police did not have further information on the incident and said it was still under investigation.


OYSTER BAY, NY — A barricade situation has been reported in Oyster Bay, a Nassau County Police spokesman said.

The spokesman said the call regarding the incident came in around 3 p.m. The situation on West Main Street is ongoing.

No further details were available. Josh Lafazan, Nassau County Legislator for District 18, said on Twitter that police are asking the public to stay away from the area of Larabee Avenue and West Main Street.
