Bayville Man Drove Drunk With 2 Young Children In Car: Police
BREAKING: Police say they found the car stopped with the man slumped over the steering wheel on Monday night.

A Bayville man was arrested for driving drunk with his two young children in the car on Monday night in Bayville, police say.
Police received a call for a man driving erratically eastbound on Bayville Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Authorities responded to the area to find the 2009 black Toyota stopped in front of a home on the 300-block of Bayville Avenue with the driver, Carlos Ruiz-Salazar, 33, slumped over the steering wheel with two children, ages 2 and 3, seated inside the vehicle, police say.
Police say Ruiz-Salazar had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and strongly smelled of an alcoholic beverage.

Ruiz-Salazar was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law,) two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, DWI and aggravated DWI.
His children were released to a relative, police say.

Ruiz-Salazar will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
