Canine Companions Art Fundraiser Sells

Bow wow wow! The Long Island Picture Frame & Art Gallery's silent art auction Sunday in Oyster Bay was a doggone hit. 

More than 50 original works animal-themed art were donated, according to John Bentzinger. The result: Art Un-Leashed raised more than $3,000 for Canine Companions for Independence.  

An artwork by Oksana, the painting dog, went for $225.    

Canine Companions for Independence is the largest non-profit provider of trained assistance dogs with five regional training centers across the country.
