"Our Town has worked diligently to help address the ongoing opioid crisis on Long Island, making it one of our top priorities," said Town Councilwoman Laura Maier. "This seminar provides a great opportunity to learn how to safely and effectively reverse the fatal effects of an opioid overdose by administering a life-saving antidote, a skill we all hope we never have to use."
Under New York State law, residents can administer Narcan in an attempt to save a life, without fear of liability.
