Jet Ski Explodes, Injures Man In Oyster Bay: Police
A jet ski driver was injured after his vehicle exploded in Oyster Bay, police said.
OYSTER BAY, NY — A man was injured Sunday when the jet ski he was riding in Oyster Bay exploded, authorities said.
The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. at the Oyster Bay Marine Center on Bay Ave. Nassau County police say officials were on patrol when they heard an explosion and saw a sinking jet ski engulfed in flames.
The jet ski driver suffered minor lacerations to his face, according to police, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
