Kayak Conservation Cruise In Oyster Bay Rescheduled

Paddle along on a guided tour of the bay and help two worthy local organizations fund their outreach programs.

OYSTER BAY, NY — The Kayak Conservation Cruise being offered by Friends of the Bay and The WaterFront Center has been rescheduled to Sept. 28.

Kayakers will meet at The WaterFront Center (1 West End Ave.) to launch for a guided tour of Oyster Bay lasting about an hour and a half. Staff from the WaterFront Center and Friends of the Bay, will point out areas of natural and historical interest along the way.

Special event pricing is $55 for a single kayak rental and $65 for a double kayak rental. Bring Your Own Kayak registration fee is $20 ($10 for children 15 and under). To register and arrange for a kayak rental, visit Thewaterfrontcenter.org/kcc.

Participants must check in at the WaterFront Center front desk at 9:30 a.m. and obtain a life jacket.

  • WHEN: Check-in is at 9:30 a.m. The tour will run roughly from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28
  • WHERE: Meet at 1 West End Ave.

A West Marine adjustable paddle will be raffled off. Everyone who registers will be automatically entered to win. Proceeds from the event will be split between the two organizations to help with their outreach programs.
