Old Westbury Equestrian Center Raided; 27 Horses Relocated: Reports
The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office told news outlets that a barn and apartments at the facility had multiple fire code violations.

OLD WESTBURY, NY — The Old Westbury Equestrian Center on Store Hill Road in Old Westbury was raided by the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office on Monday, according to multiple news reports.
Assistant chief at the Fire Marshal's Office James Hickman told Newsday and News 12 that the 28-acre center was in violation of multiple fire codes. He said that one barn housing 27 horses and apartments with seven residents lacked a sprinkler system, fire alarm system and a carbon monoxide system.
The building, with the barn and apartments, was condemned and the inhabitants had to relocate on Tuesday. The fire marshal's office said they ticketed the center at least 20 timessince October, according to News 12.
