Coppola was a resident of Centre Island and Howard Beach.

One person was found dead inside a Centre Island home that went up in flames on Tuesday, Nov. 20, police say.
Centre Island Police responded to a blaze at 300 Centre Island Drive to find a working house fire at 10:09 p.m. The fire was extinguished with assistance from eight fire departments.

An investigation revealed an unidentified person was found deceased in the home.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
Bayville, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay, Glen Cove, Sea Cliff, Glenwood, Syosset and Nissequogue fire departments as well as Glen Cove Volunteer Ambulance assisted at the scene.
Homicide Squad, Second Squad, Arson Bomb Squad, Fire Marshall and Centre Island Police are still at scene as of Wednesday morning and the investigation is ongoing.
