Teen Attacked, Robbed In Oyster Bay

The 18-year-old was hospitalized following the Wednesday night incident.

An 18-year-old was attacked and robbed by two or three men in Oyster Bay on Wednesday night, police say.

According to authorities, the teen was leaning on his car while parked at Theodore Roosevelt Park when he was knocked to the ground by a group of men at 8:15 p.m. The men punched the 18-year-old and demanded his money. One person took the victim's wallet, which contained cash, a debit card and credit card, police say.

The robbers fled in an unknown direction. Police have no description of the suspects.

The 18-year-old suffered swelling to his face and right eye. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
