The 25-foot-wide mega-sinkhole that exposed Sunset Park’s innards to the world on Tuesday morning, caused by a leaky water main, was one of the largest in the city’s rich history of sinkholes.
No one was sucked down into the abyss — or injured at all, that we know of. And thank heaven for that, because now we get to make fun of it.

The hipster jokes got a little annoying — mostly because the Sunset Park/Bay Ridge border is one of the least hipster areas in Brooklyn — but some were too good to pass up.
