Catnapped Bodega Kitty, Returned, Is Park Slope Celebrity Now
"He's a star of the neighborhood," said a Green Olives Deli & Grocery customer who called herself "Anne the fan."

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — The catnapping of a Park Slope bodega's beloved feline has come to a purr-fect end.
Boka was returned to Green Olives Deli & Grocery by the same anonymous cat snatcher who scooped him up from the Seventh Avenue shop more than a week ago, said deli's co-owner Abdulmajeed Albahri.
And since Boka's return, the gray cat has basked in a near-constant stream of customers such as a woman who simply identified herself to Patch as "Anne the fan."

"Here's my superhero," she said to Boka as she walked into the shop Monday.
"He's a star of the neighborhood. I'm glad he's back."

The feline's return capped a whirlwind near two weeks that began with the July 29 catnapping.
Albahri, who adopted Boka, and the deli's staff used social media to spread video of the cat snatcher. The viral video attracted attention of several media outlets, including Patch.
"It was easy to find him because there was a lot of support," Albahri said.
Albahri said the stories prompted a friend of the cat thief to reach out and broker a deal for Boka's return. He described the thief as someone under the well-intentioned, but mistaken impression that Boka wasn't treated well.
"That's not an excuse to take the cat," Albahri said.
After one failed handoff, Boka eventually came back to the deli this weekend, which Albahri announced in an Instagram post on the kitten's Instagram account.
"BOKA IS BACK," the post states.
Boka doesn't seem to have let his extra fame get to his furry head.
"He doesn't know what's happening," Albahri said with a wry smile.
