UPDATE: Police Detain Robbery Suspect in Manhattan Office Building
The suspect was at large near Madison Square Park on Thursday afternoon.

UPDATE, 4:50 p.m.: According to DNAinfo reporter Noah Hurowitz, police have taken the suspect into custody on the seventh floor of 261 5th Ave. A marketing agency in the building next door filmed the suspect being led out of the building at gunpoint by a seemingly endless line of cops. Video below.

NYPD officers swarmed downtown Manhattan, near 28th Street and Madison Avenue, around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday to hunt for a robbery or grand larceny suspect at large in the area, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
“There are a few streets shut off,” the spokesman said.
Office workers in surrounding skyscrapers were spooked by the commotion below.
