Brooklyn Rich People Way More Liberal Than Manhattan Rich People: Report
And Park Slope rich people take the cake.

Park Slope, DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights — the three Brooklyn neighborhoods included on a new list of NYC’s 20 richest neighborhoods — are far more overrun with Democrats than the 17 Manhattan hoods on the list, according to data recently compiled by real-estate news site Brick Underground (with help from Address Report).
Park Slope is the farthest left on the list, with 73 percent of its residents registered as Democrat and 6 percent registered as Republican, according to the report. The rest identify as ”other.”
Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO are close behind: 70 percent of residents in both neighborhoods identify as Democrat.

Methodology for the study was reportedly pulled from the US Census American Community Survey and the NY State Board of Elections.
“The list of top-earning NYC neighborhoods leans far more Republican (17 percent, on average) than do the neighborhoods’ underlying boroughs — no great surprise there,” Address Report co-founder Kayvon Bina told Brick Underground.

“DUMBO and Park Slope, however, jump out as significant exceptions,” he said. “Both are higher-income than most of Brooklyn, yet both tilt far less Republican than their income data (and even their borough) would suggest.”
Of the non-Brooklyn neighborhoods on the rich list, Greenwich Village is reportedly the most liberal, with 66 percent Democrats.
Another fun fact: According to the report, Lenox Hill is home to 46 percent Democrats, and Murray Hill home to 50 percent — making both neighborhoods more conservative than the Financial District, home to 52 percent Democrats.
Oh, and then there’s this: It looks like Park Slope’s median household income is now higher than the Upper East Side’s.
