Carols, Holiday Parties and More This Week

A quick look at what's happening this week in and around Park Slope.


- The days of warmer weather appear to be over as temperatures will be around or below freezing for much of the week with sprinkles of freezing rain and snow throughout.

- The Rock Shop's Semi Open Mic night is a space to perform and hear new 
music. You're encouraged to sign up for a spot in advance by e-mailing 
therockshopbooking@gmail.com or stop by at the end of the night to jump on. Performances begin Monday at 7 p.m.

- Join St. Francis Xavier Church for an evening of sacred Christmas music of several centuries sung by the choir, and sing along to your favorite carols Monday at 7:30 p.m.

- Brooklyn Players Community Musical Theater auditions for 'Fiddler on the Roof' begin Tuesday, 7 p.m. at 7th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. There will also be auditions Thursday and Sunday.

- Diaspora Creative Space hosts a community meet and greet Thursday from 4-7 p.m. to to celebrate the holiday season. Food and refreshments will be served.
