French Film ‘Amour et Turbulences’ Coming to Seventh Avenue Next Week
Make sure you don't park on Seventh Ave., between Berkeley and St. Johns places, from Thursday night, Sept. 13 to Saturday night, Sept. 15.

Park Slope will get some French flavor next week when movie trailers, cameras and actors will take over a section of Seventh Avenue to shoot scenes from a new romance.
The film, Amour et Turbulences (Love and Turbulence), is being directed by Alexandre Castagnetti — who wrote and directed the French TV series La Chanson du Dimanche (2011) and Les Invincibles (2010 to 2011) — and is due out in 2013.
The stars of the cast include Ludivine Sagnier, who made her movie debut when she was 10 years old in Les Maris, Les Femmes, Les Amants (1989). She won a Cesar Award nomination (the French equivalent of the Oscar) for her performance in 8 Women (2002) and recently starred in The Devil's Double (2011). Along side her is Nicolas Bedos from L'Amour Dure Trois Ans (2011) and Populaire (2012). Jonathan Cohen also stars in the film, who is known for his roles in Leaving (original title Partir, 2009) and Je Pourrais être Votre Grand-Mère (2010).

Bedos plays Antoine, a lawyer who is living in New York City, but finds himself sitting next to his ex-girlfriend Julie, played by Sagnier, while on a plane going to France for a job interview. During the seven-hour flight, the movie takes the audience through flashbacks of their past relationship and shows what went wrong — all while they rekindle their romance.
The film’s location manager, Joe Sevey, said that most of the movie is being shot in Paris, except for three days next week in Park Slope and a scene at JFK International Airport.
