Why Go: An authentic Delta Blues player and one of the form’s greatest modern interpreters, KEB’ MO’  incorporates other styles into his playing and storytelling in a powerful celebration of African American roots music. The opening set will be Brooklynite Natalia Zukerman.

Why Go: The Brooklyn based theatre collective The Artful Conspirators present Leaving IKEA: a play in two cantos, directed by David A. Miller. It is the story of two ordinary couples in extraordinary circumstances. While shopping at IKEA they reach the crossroads of their relationship and as a result are trapped in the blue and yellow purgatory of this Swedish Superstore. They are unable to escape until they solve the problems in their ailing relationships. Will they find the arrows that lead them from IKEA’s maze?

Why Go: Grab your skates and roll on down to the Old Stone House to Celebrate Good Times!  Disco, dancing, food and drink! All proceeds go to benefit Piper's outdoor summer production of Xanadu this July. Professional skate dance will put on performances.

Why Go: Def Jam core artist Ghostface Killah, the most prolific record-maker in the Wu-Tang Clan pantheon, headlines this birthday celebration. Celebrate Brooklyn! and Lyricist Lounge have a history that dates back to 2006 and includes shows with KRS-ONE, a Crooklyn Dodgers reunion, Big Daddy Kane and Raekwon—it’s always a highlight of the NYC summer in hip-hop.

Where/When: , Lincoln Rd & Ocean Ave, Sunday, June 24, 3 p.m.

Why Go: Find out how to use binoculars to spot some of the incredible species of birds that call Prospect Park home. Learn the history of the Boathouse and see little-known curiosities about the Park and its animal residents. Meet at the Audubon Center.
