Here's Where To Drink Free Beer And Sing Along To 'The Sound Of Music' In Park Slope
The hills are alive, and the beer is free.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN, NY — Ever wanted to sing "The Sound of Music" at a bar while drinking free beer?
We spotted this flyer hanging outside of Cafe Steinhof — on the corner of 7th Ave. and 14th St. — advertising one of the coolest bar promotions we've ever seen.
To celebrate its 15th anniversary next month, the Austrian cafe/bar/brunch spot is going to be showing the 1965 classic and giving away free beer and goulash to everyone who attends. And the poster does confirm it is a "sing-along."

We actually brunched their today (try the bratwurst and spaetzle), and our server did confirm this is, indeed, happening.
The showing is on Monday, September 26, at 7 p.m., so you have plenty of time to make arrangements. If you want to check out the spot before then, Cafe Steinhof shows a movie every Sunday night at their bar. See the schedule of showings here.
