75-Year-Old Straphanger Pummeled In Park Slope, Man Arrested: Cops
Aboubakar Cherry, 26, is accused of pummeling a straphanger during a run-in near an Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center elevator, police said.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn man is accused of walloping a 75-year-old straphanger inside Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station, police said.
Aboubakar Cherry, 26, was arrested Sunday on assault and harassment charges, authorities said.
Police said they linked Cherry to a May 26 beat down inside the Park Slope area station that left a man, 75, hospitalized.

The run-in began about 2:45 p.m. when the man was on an elevator inside the station, police said.
Two other men began to argue with him before they punched him in the head, authorities said. They ran off before medics took the 75-year-old man to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, NYPD officials said.
