Cop from the 78th Precinct Arrested on Rape Charges
Arthur Roldan, a 28-year-old Staten Island resident and police officer in Park Slope, is suspended with no pay.

A police officer from the 78th Precinct was arrested on Wednesday night for allegedly raping a woman in Staten Island, according to police.
A police spokeswoman said that Arthur Roldan, who is a 28-year-old Staten Island resident and has been a cop in Park Slope for 6 years, was arrested at 8 p.m. on charges of alleged “rape, menacing and assault.”
Roldan is accused of raping a woman in Staten Island in the confines of the NYPD’s 122 Precinct on July 31, police said.

The Daily News reported that Roldan, who was off-duty at the time, raped his ex-girlfriend in a Staten Island parking lot at gunpoint on Father Capodanno Blvd. at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
Roldan has been suspended without pay. He is currently waiting to be arraigned.
