Park Slope Agenda: Fiber Festival, Rock and a Charity Run

What's happening this weekend in and around Park Slope.

1. The Turner Syndrome Foundation is an official charity of the Rock N' Roll NY10K at Prospect Park. Come join the foundation as a participant or volunteer by visiting here and help raise awareness of Turner Syndrome

2. Are you a knitter, crocheter or spinner? Are you looking for the perfect hat for the upcoming winter, or a soft toy for that special kid? Then the second annual Kings County Fiber Festival is the perfect way to spend your Columbus Day weekend. The festival takes place at The Old Stone House Saturday at 10 a.m.

3. The Shapeshifter Lab hosts Hip Tot Music Fest Sunday at 11 a.m.

4. As part of NYC Comic Con, The Ghouligans will host the video premier for “My Valentine” at Little Field Oct. 11; doors open at 8pm. with performances by Parade Grounds, The Letter Yellow and Gypsy George and The Open Road Love Affair. 

5. The new-look Brooklyn Nets host the Detroit Pistons for their first preseason game at the Barclays Center on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
