Park Slope Eatery Closed

The two-year-old gourmet café on Seventh Avenue at the corner of Fifth Street shut down and the space is now for rent.

On Friday, the Seventh Avenue deli-style gourmet café was closed and had a note posted on its door by a New York City Marshall, which stated, “The landlord has legal possession of these premises.”

The Marshall’s office said on Friday that the tenets were “evicted,” but they did not have any details as to why.

Last March, that Ataka Taka Taka Inc., the company that owns the café, owed $94,916.57 to 18 different creditors, including the company’s landlord and Con Edison, according to court documents filed in the Eastern District of United States Bankruptcy Court. The gourmet café, located near Fifth Street, opened two summers ago.
