The charging outpost, found on Prospect Park West, is one of six new stations planned for Brooklyn this year under a Con Edison plan to install more than 100 electric vehicle charging ports across the city, according to Con Ed.

The plan for the Brooklyn stations was first announced in 2019, when it gained the support of Community Board 6 as a pilot program.
