Park Slope's Sixth Avenue One-Way Days Are Numbered
A stretch of Sixth Avenue under construction goes back to two-way traffic soon, but parking could be briefly limited, officials warned.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A stretch of Park Slope's Sixth Avenue no longer will be a one-way street after months of construction, officials said.
Two-way traffic between Prospect Place and Union Street will be restored starting Wednesday, announced Council Member Shahana Hanif in her newsletter.
But parking will be scarce at first because of contractors' work on Sixth Avenue's stretch from Park Place to Union Street. The street's west side will have no parking allowed, the newsletter states.

The one-way traffic change in northern Park Slope along Sixth Avenue is tied to BED798, a much-maligned water main replacement project.
The project has stretched for years and prompted complaints from homeowners about cracked basement walls, flooding and other damage.
