Photo: Farmers Market Donates Hundreds of Pounds of Vegetables

Masbia's Chef Ruben Diaz and hundreds of other volunteers loaded hundreds of pounds of colorful vegetables donated by Down to Earth Markets, an operation of about 20 indoor and outdoor farmers markets in New York City and New York state, Sunday afternoon.

The produce will feed the hungry at Masbia Soup Kitchen Network. Down to Earth Markets will continue the produce pick-up every Sunday for the rest of the season.
