Photo of the Day: Big Bird in Park Slope
To honor the third and final presidential debate on Monday, Big Bird shows his face in the neighborhood.
When Gov. Mitt Romney said he’d fire Big Bird to help balance the budget, the Twittersphere blew up.
Within minutes, the handle @BIGBIRD was created, and many others followed, like BigBirdRomney, FiredBigBird, FiredBigBird2, Big_Bird, etc.
But on Sunday, a Big Bird mask popped up on Eighth Avenue in Park Slope. Could this mean Romney will give Twitter users more ammunition? Is this a good sign for Romney supporters? Or is it a good sign for Obama voters?
