Police Blotter: Thief Steals Cellphone from Woman at Atlantic Ave Subway

The 30-year-old victim told police that she was walking up the stairs to the 4/5 train platform when a man ran up from behind and snatched her cell June 12.

Cellphone Snatch 

A thief snatched a woman’s cellphone out of her hands while she was in the Barclays Center-Atlantic Avenue subway station June 12.

The 30-year-old victim told police that she was walking up the stairs to the 4/5 train platform when a man ran up from behind and snatched her cell out of her hands at 9:45 a.m. The woman said that the crook stole her HTC One and ran away so quickly that she was not able to describe him except that he stands about 5-foot-4.

Motorcycle Gone

A thief boosted a motorcycle from its parking spot on St. Marks Place sometime between June 7 and June 10. 

The 40-year-old victim told police that he parked his black Ducati motorbike right near his apartment between Fourth and Fifth avenues on Friday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. and left town for the weekend. When he returned to get his motorcycle June 10 at 11:20 a.m., it was gone. Cops said that it was not towed. The crook got away with the Ducati, worth a total of $6,500.

Fraudulent Charges

A crook used a Park Slope man’s credit card to buy over $10,000 in jewelry from May 23 and 27.

The 42-year-old victim told police that American Express called to say that there were some suspicious purchases on his card. He found out that someone had used his AmEx to buy a $6,830 Bvlgari Diagono watch and a Bulgari B Zero ring for $2,100.
