PARK SLOPE, NY — Big news for slice lovers: A popular Brooklyn-based pizzeria has expanded its culinary footprint with a brand-new shop right here in Park Slope.

Impasto Pizza is now serving its Roman-style square slices and pies at its newest location at 200 Garfield Place, on the corner of 7th Avenue.

The shop opened to the public in May, offering a mix of full 18-inch New York–style pies and 16-inch Roman-style options. The menu also features a variety of individual slices, including pepperoni, a spicy Diavola, Rossa e Bufala, and the classic marinara square slice, which starts at $3.50.

Impasto Pizza first opened during the COVID-19 pandemic at its original location, 373 Waverly Avenue, just north of Green Avenue.

The spot was previously home to Mario’s Pizza Restaurant, which closed down before the crew from Aita—a popular Italian eatery—took over in 2017. They served both Calabrese-style and classic NYC pies until a fire nearly destroyed the place in 2019.

When rebuilding, the Aita team decided to switch things up, reopening the shop under the new name Impasto.

Impasto Pizza is open daily from 12 to 9 p.m. For more information or to see the full menu, visit impastonyc.com.
