Schumer Slammed For Facebook Link In Posters Put Up Near Home

A conservative artist installed posters criticizing Schumer because his daughter works for Facebook.

PARK SLOPE, NY — A Conservative street artist put up posters near Sen. Chuck Schumer's Park Slope home slamming the senator because his daughter works at Facebook.

Sabo, a Los Angeles-based street artist, installed posters around the city on Monday and Tuesday linking Schumer with Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the wake of revelations that a data analytics firm used personal information gathered from the social media website to help Donald Trump's campaign, Yahoo! Finance reported.

"You can't watch your kids 24/7, but we can," one sign — which had photos of Zuckerberg, Schumer and Anthony Weiner — read, according to Twitter posts.

The artist also put up several posters near Schumer's Prospect Park West home reading "Caution Facebook Sells Data," one that mentions Schumer's daughter works for Facebook and another putting Zuckerberg and Schumer's faces together, according to social media posts. The signs feature the hashtag ZuckSchumer and links to a website detailing the reasons for the campaign.

"Zuckerberg snoops into our private lives and sells our personal information to customers like Cambridge Analytica and Steve Bannon," the site reads.

"Schumer protects Zuckerberg’s creepy business spying from common-sense federal privacy regulation that would protect children and all Americans."

Sabo did not respond to a request for comment and the signs near Schumer's home were take down as of Wednesday.

The artist, who's been dubbed the conservative Banksy, posted a video on Tuesday saying he was paid for the project, but did no specify who footed the bill, Yahoo! Finance reported.

The campaign comes after reports that the U.K. based company Cambridge Analytica used Facebook data to create psychological profile of users to target them with ads and stories. Zuckerberg's expected to testify in front of Congress next week over the scandal.
