PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A car ended up on top of a stoop in Park Slope on Monday morning after it hopped the curb on Seventh Street, according to photos from the incident.

The crash, which happened just after 11:20 a.m., sent the car onto the steps of a home near Seventh Street and Fourth Avenue, according to the FDNY and photos taken by Seth Pollack. One person was hurt in the crash and sent to Methodist Hospital, the FDNY said.

According to the photos, the SUV landed with its back wheels on the steps in front of a home and its front jutting out into the sidewalk.

The car damaged a metal fence around the property, as well as a metal handrail in front of the building, according to the Department of Buildings.

Twitter users were left baffled at the crash, which as Pollack pointed out is only a few blocks from where a car jumped the curb and crashed into a Park Slope salon earlier this year.

"lotta questions here," one person wrote.

Inspectors called to the scene to investigate the stability of the building found no structural damage to the building itself, according to a DOB spokesperson. They ordered the property owner to repair the fence and handrail that were damaged.
