THE STOOP: Barbie, a Crane, an Icee Maker and Lion King Backpack

Our weekly round up of Brooklyn stoop items.

This week revealed one of the most colorful and bountiful stoop-finds.

Some items were weather appropriate, while others were just truly awesome—like a backpack filled with Barbies.

My favorite find was the Icee maker, which was just sitting on Third Street. It brought back memories of being young, running through the endless summer.

It wouldn’t be a week without Doodle Bear, a giant stuffed denim bear that you can draw on and wash it off.

The Lion King backpack, filled with Barbies of all kinds, was a rare find and if you’re into the tall, slender dolls, a gold mine.

We also found a toy crane, to move all those Barbies.

A more mature find were a pile of books—with the stand out being “The New Joy of Sex.”
